Some news on the horizon. The Kickstarter campaign has proven to be a bust. I set my goal too high, and was therefore unable to meet it...so all pledges automatically will become null and void later this week. Because my departure time is getting closer, I have decided instead to accept all contributions via PayPal, but still honor the same perks as the Kickstarter pledge levels promised to deliver. I am presently trying to raise money for my plane tickets. My son will be coming with me as part of an independent study for his school. I was already able to get my passport renewed, as well as a new passport for him...and I thank those who helped make that possible. Just $1 contribution will buy you a piece of the action. You will get personal video updates from venues, hotel rooms, restaurants, gas stations...wherever I am able to get in a quick video. This should be lots of fun. For $25, you will not only receive links to video updates, but an autographed photo from the tour. As suggested by a fan, a $50 contribution will entitle you to a meet and greet with me after a show in one of the many cities where I will be performing. A $100 or greater contribution, will get you everything already mentioned, plus either a CD recording of one of the shows, or a CD that is only available in Germany....possibly both. As much as this is a project to raise money to cover expenses both pre tour and on tour, this is also something of an experiment, and a media project for me. I think it is a great way to expand the entire experience of a tour. I have already shared so many details of my personal life with many of you on Facebook, so why not continue that same relationship experience through video while traveling to strange and new places? It's a great way for you to share the experience of what it is like to be on the road. I am so excited at the thought of taking you with me!
